Kim Stephens-Doll is the Music Director, President, and a founder of Renaissance Institute of Music. She serves as Master Teacher to the Teaching Artist Certification Course participants, and as Music Director for all levels of the Renaissance String Orchestra. Kim provides private violin and viola lessons for TACC members as well as group classes in string pedagogy, music theory, musicianship, and conducting. In addition to her rich musical education and background, she is an accomplished educator who spent many years as a K-8th grade classroom teacher and English Language Development Specialist.

Ms. Stephens-Doll has played violin and viola in many settings: for the City Ballet of San Diego Orchestra, Grossmont Symphony Orchestra, Grossmont College Afro-Cuban Ensemble, Saddleback Symphony Orchestra, Poway Symphony Orchestra, Fallbrook Chamber Orchestra, and the St. Luke Chamber Orchestra. She currently plays with the Southern California Philharmonic and MiraCosta College Symphony Orchestra. Her musical passion is to create and nurture opportunities for others to experience making music together in ensembles as a gift to their communities.

Branden Muresan is a Director and Master Teacher. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, and a Master of Music in Instrumental and Orchestral Conducting under the instruction of Dr. Donald Barra at San Diego State University. Muresan is a well-known orchestra violinist and violist in performances from Baja California to Los Angeles. As a conductor, Maestro Muresan was selected to build and lead a new adult orchestra program in Poway, California, as well as the Four Seasons Youth Orchestra in Newport Beach. In 2009, Muresan was hired to conduct the MiraCosta College Symphony Orchestra, and in 2012 he was selected to be Music Director for the Southern California Philharmonic. He is the Assistant Conductor of the Long Beach Ballet. He also teaches and conducts the Advanced Orchestra at Arrowbear Music Camp. Under his guidance, these orchestras are growing and thriving. His Master Classes with students in our programs have brought a professional expertise and brilliance to our learning for which we are extremely grateful.
